Photo Blog: Rocky Brook & The Dosewallips River

River Otters

When a family of river otters spent an afternoon eating four large coho salmon in Rocky Brook, I grabbed a new camera I had begun using, a fancy single lens reflex Nikon. Unfortunately two things happened. First I was so excited about getting such a close view of these marvelous creatures that I was less than steady in how I held the camera. Second, I was still unfamiliar with the camera operation. The result was a seried of jerky, unclear photos. Still I managed to get a few that turned out okay.
